INSTITUTE FOR SUSTAINED CREATIVITY

Mentor

Kealey Boyd

Writer & Art Critic

I am a writer and journalist contributing to Hyperallergic, The Art Newspaper, The Los Angeles Times, Colorado Public Radio, Frieze, Art Papers, The Belladonna Comedy, College Art Association and several art catalogs and books including a recently published essay in "Artists as Writers" (Intellect Books, 2025). I am also a Clyfford Still Museum Institute Fellow in Art Criticism producing research on creative labor.

How artists navigate informational scarcity and uncertainty in their careers is my area of interest and expertise. I work with ISC to help artists build upon their local resources and move creative practices in the desired direction.

Let’s collaborate on your next big idea! I enjoy helping artists and writers pitch to publish, to exhibit or win that grant. I can offer feedback for your professional materials or prepare artists for working with the press.

In our sessions we will identify tangible solutions to your obstacles and bring big conceptual ideas into focus.

CATEGORIES OF EXPERTISE:
